Mesh Primitive Components
Download mesh component files. These files are in the *.CDF file format, and can be imported to TAI software as primitives for thermal analysis. Currently, over 100 primitives are included.
Mesh Model Components
Honda Insight Electric Hybrid
The Honda Insight HEV model includes only the body and interior. This model showcases WinTherm's ability to quickly model heat sources in order to minimize design time. (The Insight will be available in the US this year.)

Steady State Model  4329 Elements; 6960 Thermal Nodes. 247 K
Dynamic Model
4329 Elements; 6960 Thermal Nodes. 1276 K

Ford Synergy Hybrid Electric
The Ford Synergy concept vehicle model. This is an approximate model and includes the engine and minimal interior heat sources.

Steady State Model  5956 Elements; 13696 Thermal Nodes. 433 K
Dynamic Model
5956 Elements; 13696 Thermal Nodes. 3606 K

Fireplace
This fireplace model showcases the radiation solver in WinTherm. Heat sources can quickly be modeled in order test their effectiveness. Notice the shadows on the walls.

Steady State Model  2620 Elements; 2620 Thermal Nodes. 99 K
Dynamic Model
2620 Elements; 2620 Thermal Nodes. 1406 K

Circuit Board w/Traces
WinTherm allows heat rates to be imposed on electrical components, such as transistors, resistors and IC chips. This model includes a 3-layer circuit board (plastic board with copper traces). The solution includes radiative losses to the enclosure (bounding box).

Steady State Model  4328 Elements; 5984 Thermal Nodes. 279 K

Pan Over Burner
The temperature profile of a pan is evaluated over a burner. The burner is set to high and then the temperature is lowered. Since there is often a poor physical connection between the burner and pan, radiation is used to transfer heat in the model. Different pan styles may be evaluated by changing to a 3-layer part and assigning various materials, coating layers, and thicknesses.

Dynamic Model  1230 Elements; 2003 Thermal Nodes. 1618 K

Research Car
This is a simple automobile model. The purpose of this vehicle is to test components and how they effect the overall model.

Dynamic Model  1113 Elements; 1974 Thermal Nodes. 455 K

Research Ship
Weather and terrain features are incorporated in this model. This model includes heat sources on the ship as well as a solar heat source. Notice the temperature change of the ship and terrain as the time of day changes.

Dynamic Model  577 Elements; 4161 Thermal Nodes. 2264 K

BRDM
This is a simple military vehicle. The model includes exhaust system heat sources applied to the vehicle.

Steady State Model  3177 Elements; 3849 Thermal Nodes. 134 K

Cell Phone
A simple cell phone model with a warm battery pack and internal electronic.  Simple models can be created to test design specifications before production.

Steady State Model  441 Elements; 850 Thermal Nodes. 28 K
